Welcome to Albuquerque!

roadrunner.jpgThe Newcomers Club gives people who are new to Albuquerque the opportunity to meet and develop friendships with others who live in the area.

Albuquerque is home to a group of dynamic, talented professionals and people from all walks of life interested in networking, building friendships and learning more about their new community.  Our group is young at heart and welcomes both singles and couples.

Each month, dozens of activities are scheduled which encourage members to learn about their new city, its culture, activities, lifestyle, and to develop friendships by sharing interests and hobbies with each other.

Membership is open to anyone who has been an Albuquerque area resident for 5 years or less or is experiencing a major transition in life.  We are here to help all newcomers adjust to their new home and learn more about their community.

Members receive a monthly newsletter detailing the date, time, location and directions for the many upcoming interest groups and activities.  With twenty plus groups name a letter of the alphabet and chances are there is an interest group to match  A-Arts and crafts, B-Book Club; Biking; Bridge, F-Field Trips, P-Penny Poker, W-Walking Group; Wine tasting.  Don’t see your favorite? — Start it your self they will come.  Each month features either an evening reception or a morning welcome coffee for new and prospective members.A favorite activity is the luncheon held on the third Thursday of each month.  Featured is an informative or entertaining speaker.  The event is at a local hotel or restaurant.

We'd love to hear from you.  If you are interested in obtaining more information, please email our membership committee at NewinAbq@comcast.net or call (505) 321-6970 to leave a message.
